STN LCD
STN LCD stands for Super Twisted Nematic LCD, whose pixels are more twisted. They are simply an advanced version of TN (Twisted Nematic) and HTN (High Twisted Nematic) LCD.
However, that doesn't mean STN display are always the best choice. Although STN LCDs require less power and are less expensive to manufacture than TFT LCDs; they typically suffer from lower image quality and slower response time than TFT displays. STN displays are well applied in some inexpensive mobile phones and informational screens of some digital products.
STN (Super Twisted Nematic) is a type of LCD (liquid crystal display) flat-panel display technology. STN uses less power and is less costly than TFT technology, but at the expense of image quality and response time.
Dianguang Hi-tech offers various transmissive adhesive and transmissive positive STN LCDs with combinations of 1/4 duty 1/3 bias, 1/6 duty 1/3 bias, and 1/8 duty 1/3 bias driving method.
